* *JOB OVERVIEW:* "Responsible for revenue production for the hotel, and meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).
Manages all areas of sales according to Brand standards to achieve a professional rapport within the local business community.
The Director of Sales is a “hands-on” manager, actively involved on a daily basis in securing, qualifying and following up on leads to book specific business.
The central focus is in sales.
The DOS should not be required to assume operational responsibilities, but should spend most of his/her time selling the hotel.
" The Director of Sales is responsible for group room nights and conventions and to increase the corporate client base.
Group rooms are groups of 10 or more room nights.
Other types of accounts can include weddings and receptions, local corporate training or sales groups and/or local events, such as a sports tournament.
Sales managers stay abreast of the events happening in their city and pounce on those opportunities.
Sales Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the group, from room blocks to managing the special events (Including industry conferences, weddings, reunions and the like).
*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Managing sales-related activities and marketing efforts for the full-service hotel * Maximizing and enhancing group room revenues to meet and exceed the hotel’s revenue * Work and coordinate with the Catering team once meeting and ballrooms have been booked * Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to build future relationships/bookings * Achieve monthly group budget and booking goals * Telephone sales and cold calls, site tours, and outside sales calls * Targeting new business opportunities * Building and maintaining existing relationships * Develop and maintain a contact and customer database within the following market segments: * Farmington Corporate Market * Incentive and Corporate Group Travel * SMERF Market * Industry Partners * Choice National Sales Force * Develop and promote product image and awareness by direct mail campaigns and attendance of key travel and tourism trade shows.
* Prepare sales proposals to clients incorporating clearly defined terms and conditions * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle everyday situations quickly and effectively * Entrepreneurial spirit is a definite asset *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-* 1.

Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

Maintain positive working relationships with the visitor’s bureau Visit Casper and the national meeting planners.

Qualification and solicitation of existing and new accounts through: * Personal visits * Telephone calls * Written correspondence * Participation in promotional events * Participation in industry and community events, as well as trade shows * Travel to industry events and sales calls 12.
Promptly respond (within 24 hours) to all inquiries, prospects, and tentative or definite business.

Accurately report the month-end, year-to-date group room night and revenue accounts to General Manager.
14.
Create an action plan for revenue increasing opportunities 15.
Report on trends in the industry and local markets.

Contact and entertain clients – not only during their site visits, but also while groups are in-house, and through invitations to contacts within the Casper area.

Any other duties reasonably assigned by the supervisor.
