Maintenance Inventory Specialist
Purpose:
This position is responsible for Shop parts & consumable planning, ordering, and management to support plant operation.
The Specialist will also support the Maintenance Manager with the Shop expenditure budget management.
Essential Responsibilities:
* All plant personnel have the responsibility to monitor and report any deviations from the Site’s Food Safety/Quality programs (i.
e.
, HACCP & SQF) to your immediate supervisor.
* Responsible for parts procurement & receiving, inventory accuracy and annual audit.
* Ensure all parts have their own storage location and are referenced with alias in CMMS.
* Coordinates on/off site repairs with vendors.
* Collaborate with the Planner/Scheduler to ensure that all parts and supplies are available for work orders and that all OEM-recommended critical spare parts are in the onsite inventory.
* Actively support the department manager with management of maintenance expenditure budget to PLAN.
* Responsible for Continuous Improvement initiatives including but not limited to parts sourcing & pricing.
Other Required Responsibilities:
* Acts as a backup to Maintenance Planner.
* Prepares outgoing Fed-Ex shipments.
* May require to be a parts courier as needed.
* May provide repair assistance/support to maintenance team members as needed.
* Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
* 2 years professional experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably in dairy and/or food manufacturing environment.
* Maintenance parts planning & budget management experience a plus.
* 1+ year hands-on maintenance work experience a plus
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Quick and creative problem solver with good judgment handling confidential information.
* A self-starter who completes tasks and assignments on time.
* Excellent customer service skills, accuracy in work processes with a strong attention to detail and organization with the ability to multitask.
* Be able to operate a forklift and a telehandler.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl around equipment for extended periods of time.
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Utilize hand-held tools for repair work or shipping tasks.
* Possible exposure to moving mechanical parts.
* Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
* Noise levels require hearing protection.
* May be working at heights and require putting on fall-protection.
* Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.

Pay: $27.
