Position Summary
The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist in overseeing invoicing, payments, and reconciliations regarding receivables, prioritizing precision, and efficiency.
Manage a high volume of transactions, particularly during peak periods, to ensure seamless operations.
Communicate with customers, conduct credit checks, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve inquiries promptly, while also maintaining accurate records and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
Essential Functions
Assist in managing the accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Handle a heavy volume of accounts receivable transactions, particularly during peak seasons, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Follow up on past due accounts and communicate with customers to resolve payment issues promptly and professionally with Net terms.
Assist with credit checks and setting up new customer accounts in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and interactions in NetSuite.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes as needed, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Provide support with various administrative tasks during slower periods, such as data entry, filing, and other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment.
This role is routinely exposed to: florescent lighting, varying lighting, and frequent use of viewing a computer screen.
Standard office equipment is utilized in this role.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, walking, lifting, and moving.
Frequent motions include: grasping, seeing, other repetitive movements.
Must be able to lift, carry, minimum up to 25 pounds, more with assistance.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial role.
Experience handling a heavy volume of accounts receivable transactions, particularly during peak seasons.
Prior experience in assisting with administrative tasks is advantageous.

Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
